Oprah's Weight Loss Secrets Revealed

On a recent episode of Oprah special guest Dr Oz revealed his weight loss tips.

According to the doctor the most important measurement is your waist not your weight. The dangerous fat is in your mid-section around your stomach. It pushes on your kidneys and causes high blood pressure.

There is an organ inside of you called the omentum. Wikipedia defines the omentum as a large fold of peritoneum that hangs down from the stomach, and extends from the stomach to the transverse colon. Dr Oz calls it the fat organ and you need to shrink this in order to lose weight.

Can you shrink your omentum? According to Dr Oz, yes you can shrink your omentum.

Some interesting facts according to Dr Oz:

• Your waist measurement should be half your height or no more than 32 inches for a women. By the way, you can suck in your gut when you take the measurement.
• If your weight measurement is over 35 inches for a women or more than 40 inches for a man then you are more susceptible to heart attacks
• As a male, if you lose 35 pounds of weight then you gain 1 inch of penis length
• One of the key things that drives hunger is the memory
• Avoid sugar substitutes
• Lose 5% of your weight and your sleep apnea goes down 30%
• 17% of kids in the USA are overweight
• The diabetes rate among kids in the US has tripled
• Men tend to lose weight faster
• It is just as important to lift weights as it is too exercise
• Pure chocolate dialates the arteries of the heart and is okay - must be dark chocolate though and only in small quantities

• if you have a glass of wine have a glass of water after it
• leave one hand free for shaking hands so you don't have both hands filled with food and drink
